DAY 02...
Last night was not nearly as successful. Since he woke up later that day, he was not tired when he finally went to bed, and I didn't hear him really start to fall asleep until another hour later. This time there was seven minutes of movements twice a minute (he woke himself up 14 times), then 10 more minutes of movements every minute (seriously, I could have set my clock by their rhythm) for a total PLMD period of 17 minutes and 24 movements. But after this there was nothing - however I did fall asleep after about fifteen minutes more and it seems like the night in general was pretty restless. I was really surprised that sleep didn't come sooner because we did implement the sleeping aid last night - I would rate it as having almost NO effect. The Vitamin E was taken later in the evening as well, but the leg massage was pretty significant.
I'm considering magnesium as a supplement; I found it cured my own back spasms immediately. Caffeine could have been an issue yesterday as well. There are so many variables and there may be more than one that we're going to have to control. I'm also curious if elevating his legs would have any effect. One difference between Day One and Two is that he was extremely tired on Day One and not nearly as much on Day Two. I really think tiring exercise on a regular basis would help things... if only the xBox could provide it! ;) He reports feeling tired all day today which coincides with the poor results. I would love to set up a video camera in our bedroom, but I think "Paranormal Activity" has provided a significant warning label against such!
Caffeine was limited today, and the supplements will come late. However, he should be quite tired tonight. We'll see how it goes! If anyone has any experience with PLMD or treatments, please share!
